You're very welcome! They were thoroughly enjoyable - very distinct voices for each of your P.O.V. characters and that all lovely camaraderie for which I am an absolute sucker. :D
Even those of us who speak it as a first language aren't immune to that sort of association. ;) My sister and I occasionally have to stop and share a hearty "Bwa-ha-ha" over the ridiculously high number of expressions that we've picked up from some fictional work or other and incorporated into our vocabulary.
And you're absolutely right about the sheer frustration that is dealing with stereotypes. Normally I quite enjoy irony...this particular instance not so much.
