I don't know where to start. So I'll just have to go as things occur to me. First of all, you have no idea how badly the anticipation has been killing me. I had enough time before work this morning to see you'd posted, read about three lines...and then I had to go to work! Where I can't use the computer to go on livejournal!
It's incredible. I swear the writing was more gripping and intense than a large number of the published novels I've encountered. And as an English teacher, I read a lot of novels.
I love it. I love it so much I'll even forgive you for reminding me that those bastards killed Mark. (Did you know that in the expansion comic Mick's actually dating Killer Frost? ANGST!)
I love Len being so bloody stubborn, Mick being so deeply messed up and, in the end, both of them being there for each other.
The Trickstermobile is amazing. I want someone to draw DCAU!Tricks in his awesome car. Because it should be canon.
And I've a particular soft spot for Piper's denial CPR and initial inability to accept Len's sincere gratitude.
Best family ever and best fic I've read in quite some time. And, just for the record, I think you're dead wrong about the ending. ;)
P.S. And I <3 you for 'Oh Susanna' and its conflicting lyrics.
