I had a bit of time on my hands the other day, plus a pen - so I drew this. Incidentally, the car here looks more like a WV Beetle than a Citroën DC, because 1) I had no reference and 2) I can't draw cars for the life of me anyway =P

I blame my finally getting past my fear of epic car-drawing fail on listening to Sweet's Ballroom Blitz and watching again that two-second scene in Life on Mars where Gene Hunt drives down a street at breakneck speed in reverse with a sandwich in his mouth while long-suffering Sam Tyler hangs on :D Let's just say this is the first time Piper's found himself in the passenger seat - the place we call in colloquial French "the dead man's seat" :D

Thought of this one on the bus, and the idea cracked me up and weirded me out at the same time. Of course, when I finally got down to write it, it had lost most of its comedic punch and mostly left the creepy. Your Mileage May Vary :o)

So I got this idea running around in my head making silly (and possibly rude) gestures for about ten minutes and I didn't know what I could do with it - so I went to Ivy and turned the prompt into a challenge.

(Mick and Len. Locked in an air-tight room (meat freezer, working or not? :P). No romance. They don’t have to talk about world-shattering events or make significant confessions, but there’s a song in it. Possibly silly guys stuff as well – and they look/sound both serious and silly to us readers.

And when things look pretty hopeless, in waltz Big!Damn!Heroes! Piper and Trickster :D If this happens during Hartley’, James’ and Mick’s stint with the FBI (as opposed to in the DCAU, for instance) it could raise some interesting questions as to exactly why Cold and Heat Wave have managed not to kill each other by now :D)

Maybe I should undergo therapy, or consultation, or whatever it's called - but I drew this today at work and inked it at home, because I felt a sudden need to doodle me some James Jesse. Possibly linked to having The Ballad of Jesse James (Springsteen version mostly) running in my head all day - not that I'm complaining, but when I got off work and started singing "There never was a man/With the law in his hand/That could take James Jesse when alive" I just stopped in my tracks and laughed out loud on the spot :D Those boys, honestly.... they have a way of sneaking into your head.

Now I'm temped to draw Piper on the other side of the paper. Y'know, as a diptych. Fancy word, that :P But I don't know if I'm good enough. Won't know till I try, but... I'll work on it :o)
